2019 IVY BALL CO-CHAIRS’ MESSAGE

Dear Ivy League Schools' Alumni and Friends,

On behalf of the Ivy Ball Singapore Organizing Committee and the Singapore-based alumni associations of the Ivy League schools, we are delighted to bring you Singapore’s second Ivy League Ball.  The Columbia University Club and the University of Pennsylvania Club have passed the baton onto the Cornell Club and the Harvard University Alumni Association of Singapore this year to lead the effort.  We sincerely hope the Ivies will continue on with this tradition and make this annual event one that will be etched in everyone’s diaries.

The Hilton Hotel Singapore has been gracious enough to offer their facilities again this year, so the dinner event will be at the Ballroom and the after-party will be held at their roof-top Sky Bar.  Music again will be provided by the amazing DJ Shigeki who is offering his talents to us for the second year as well.

We would like to, of course, thank our extensive and generous list of sponsors and supporters this year. They are listed on the Sponsors and Supporters pages on this website.

We are very grateful for their support especially as we are honouring two amazing non-profit groups this year - AUW - Asian University for Women in Bangladesh, and AWWA - the Asian Women's Welfare Association here in Singapore.

The spirit of friendly competition will also be kept alive through the school fight song and an all-Ivy quiz:  which university’s name will be on the trophy this time?? We will find out that evening...

To all the volunteers who have helped make this possible - we cannot thank you enough.  We are grateful for all your time, and effort - as you all have helped towards making the November 16th, 2019 event a memorable one.

A toast from us here to all fellow alumni, generous sponsors, friends, and family as we look forward to an evening of fine cuisine and wine, warm hospitality, and incredible fun.

Sincerely yours,

Rebecca Woo
